Closing Out 2016

As I am thinking of my life since the start of 2016 I begin to ponder what I wanted to accomplish this year and to what end did I achieve that.  This year has been one incredible roller coaster ride.  With some great highs and accomplishments and some very sad lows.

It has been stated that blogs and podcasts should be left ambiguous as to the date they are being posted.  This is mainly due to the reason as to when is somebody actually reading it.  It may be well past the date if the post is dated.  However, I feel that I do want to close off 2016 properly so that I can begin 2017 appropriately.

To start lets look back to January 1, 2016 and see what has transpired.

In January I was still working on by 3rd of 4 drafts of my book, Designing Your Own Destiny.  I had not yet started to have it reviewed by the content editor.  I was in a mad dash to get that step done.  A few months later I had the edited edition and was waiting on the next stage of funding so that I could release it to interior designers, cover design, publisher to sign off, the first copy or “proof” of the book to be made, and then after final approval start to first bit of printing of the hardcover print run.

I ended up realizing that the costs would be a few more thousands of dollars which I did not have to allocate to the book so it sat, and it sat, and it sat on my computer.  A few months later I went against my coach’s advice and decided to get the book printed anyway and go softcover and Kindle.  On Oct. 26 the book was live and available for purchase.  Yay!!!

This inspired me to start doing a couple of webinars.  One on even how to go from scratch to print of you own book.  If you like a link just leave a comment below and I can share that link from the webinar.

This led me to go to a podcasting MeetUp in September and within 30 days I had launched my podcast, available on iTunes, called Life’s Little Lessons.

This is a way for me to start to get my message out there.

I also discovered that I do want to start helping people.  I have already started to take on some individual clients.  Soon, and very soon, I will be looking to build an online course.  Particularly in the Personal Growth / Development arena.  I will be creating a couple of surveys in the days/weeks ahead and would love your feedback in that as to what areas you would like to know more about or possibly help with.

Also, in February this year I took a course through New Peaks (formerly, Peak Potentials) called Ultimate Relationship Retreat and then a couple of months later Mission Possible.  Both of these courses really helped in getting my mind on the right track.

Currently I am taking a course through Jeff Walker called Product Launch Formula which is how I am building the course I just mentioned.

Also, this year my previous business has had a name change to Plentiful Perspectives.  This being that there is always more than one way to see something, which is the basis of my new business.  I feel that if I or we can just make a mental shift on how I or we view things then great things can happen.

However, 2016 wasn’t full of great things.  In April I wrote a post titled Dealing with the Loss of a Loved One when I had to say goodbye to my dearly beloved baby girl Kitty.

Kitty Smiling

She had just turned 15 and had reached that age where she could barely do anything.  This was, by far, the most difficult decision I had to make.  And to this day over 7 months later I still feel her loss in my heart.

I also wrote in an earlier post called Letting Emotions Out… when I had my final visitation from her spirit.  I had felt her presence quite a few times before this Halloween day.  That day I felt her go to Heaven and her removing any guilt if I had put her down to early.  I still mourn her passing but know she is in a much happier place.

I am looking forward to 2017.  This is a start of an entirely new year and career for me.  As a gift I want you to join me in the launch of this new business and endeavor.  I created a guidebook which is an outtake from my book.  I am calling it the Designing Your Own Destiny Guidebook.  And I want you to join me in creating and achieving some great goals for 2017 or whenever you see this post and want to create something big and new in your life.

Please help me with building this new business.

I foresee 2017 as becoming a great year.  I see growing this new business and helping so many people get out of their own way.  Join me on this journey to greener pastures.

Much love to everyone out there no matter if you are struggling or winning.  It has been said that in the times of struggle is when some of the biggest achievements or learning can be gained.  Let’s change the mindset of ourselves and those around us so everyone can achieve more.

Until next year or until the next time we meet I bid you all a glorious day and a beautiful life.
