Richard started out by hiring an outside company to help him build SEO for one of his companies and he discovered they didn’t know too much about what it is that they were doing.  Thus, he set out on a mission to learn more and more about SEO.

SEO is known as Search Engine Optimization.  It is how you rank your website through multiple strategic means in order to be found online.  By doing this correctly you will gain higher rankings in Google searches thus allowing more and more people to find you when they are seeking online for people who are doing services like yours.

One way to do this is ensuring that all of your pictures you post online all have descriptions.  The words and keywords you use in your pictures is one way to help boost your online presence.

Another thing Richard discusses is building your online brand and how important it is that you do that as soon as possible.

Blogs also have great authority which helps because you are adding new content to your website on a consistent basis.  Search engines love active websites.  Especially when you are talking on your own subject matter.

One other thing you must be aware of are the backlinks that are coming to your site.  By having backlinks these proves your worth on the internet.  Yet, you do want to be aware of what backlinks are coming to your site.  I know for me I backlink every show that I am on to the site that interviewed or hosted me.  When they reference me they backlink to my website.  This is a great way to improve your online presence.
